This was a really tough vote. I wanted to vote for cotmm as well, and also Misael.K ... and honestly, everyone came up trumps, but there can only be three.

TheVideoGamer - This track is basically a up-tempo symphony of pure happiness, which let's face it, the theme is like the most beautiful thing you could likely encounter, so the music will reflect that. The track despite it's fast drums and pulsating energy, is full of lush pads, delayed synths and slow embellishments to make this nothing short of pure chill and happiness. Not a single minor key in sight, even if you get the impression there is one. The drums are just a loop, no sequencing was done aside from the hi-hats which are standard TR-909 hi-hats. The drums were chopped, but mostly for fills or breakdowns to remove the snare, since this is a kick and snare type loop. The main synth motif, is a simple key synth but with the delay cranked all the way up, so the result sounds very sparkly and airy. For the first two minutes, we power through drums, bass the synth, and different synth embellishments weaving in and out. The goal is a slowly moving and steady stream of sound, from various places. To stop it from being super monotonous, i added a breakdown in the middle, where a chord progression comes in, a lead melody and a slow evolving build-up back into the main section, to allow for more dynamic variation to come in. Ultimately it was about being as free flowing as possible, without loosing any of the grooves, or making it very repetitive. All in all, glad you liked it!

Garian - Starting with a short on this week. Pretty guitar sounds, if very mechanical. I think this is a sound font. I do like the synth chords, although it's a bit weird melodically. It's not happy or sad, it has a bit of a weird direction in parts. The overall guitar melody is pretty loud compared to the rest. Oh well, i'm glad you submitted, and the piece was a lot of fun, i definately liked it. Good job!

DarkShadow - Back to the laser Shadow! This is like modular music for the soul. The drums are quite clicky this week, and the chords and melody are pretty....all over the place. Although not my favourite from you personally, it's definately a lot of fun. Good job!

cotmm68030 - No 6 minutes? Is everything alright lol. This is a pretty cool slightly minimal groove. It's almost like it's played deliberately in the lower register to make it sound like were in a shoegaze kind of vibe. I am reminded of Arcana in this track, especially since i don't usually hear a 909 type beat from you. The vocal effects are wonderful, if very upfront, i can feel this is more of a raw type track. The melody in the background is lovely, the backing track is a strong vibe. I don't think i've ever hear you rap yet, and let me tell you, this is a miles better job than what i would ever do. Your rap was actually rap, and it flew on point extremely well. My rap wasn't really on beat, because i didn't have much time overall, but this was lovely. The hi-hat at the end is a bit piercing, but this is the sort of unscripted outro if you will. Yeah no, this was awesome, if you compare this to mine, it's very well done. Very catchy, and well mixed, minus one or two details. Awesome work!

Lyra_183 - There is some lovely melody ideas in this. You are really coming out with some fire vocal melodies it's pretty great. Volume levels are really great too. There is a lot of rhymical stuff here, that almost makes me feel like there is a mild competition between you and CotMM to see who can make the best rap lol. Personally i think you do a better job ;). Truthfully there is a lot of potential here, the melodies were totally work for something fire, keep at it! Good job!

wompus_king - Ooh i like this synth, it's like a blend of an Organ and a mallet sound. Even has some pretty reverb to go with it. This is the first happy track of the bunch, which is pretty great, expect some bias towards happy music this week, because i feel the theme is asking for it. I do like the phrasing in this, it makes it very pretty. Despite the uplifting nature, i do feel there is some dynamics in this. There we one or two notes being accidentally played in parts, so it does result in some unwanted dissonance, which definately tells me this is 100 percent live playing. You know i feel like this would have been much better as a solo piano piece, because if it's a synth, i feel like it's asking for more stuff, like a drumbeat, or some pads or a bassline or something. Still though, i do like this, it's very creative, and whilst accidentally dissonant at times, it does feel somewhat warm and comforting. Ending was a bit abrupt, maybe this was unfinished, or it missed out a bit of render. Anywho, i enjoyed this, good job!

BJKMenu - Ooh now were going blues. This is the most overt blues rock thing i've heard all week. The guitar work is lovely, and the drums are very countrified. This is definately a lot of fun, the melody is pretty fire within the confines of 12 bars, and you even manage to thrown in a lot of cool descending notes too, ok what the hell is the 2nd half, are you trying to trip me up!? WHY HAVE WE GONE FROM FUNKY COUNTRY BLUES ROCK IMMEDIATELY INTO SOME EDM TRAP WHAT THE HELL. The 2nd half is also fire, it has a pretty solid lead synth, and fire kick drum, but....i just cannot get what you would do that lol. My brain is trippy right now, i'm sorry i can't give you a well done, i just don't....get it. Sorry man, but good job!

DDRKirby(ISQ) - Theme appropriate sound effects, i definately like it. Not as happy as i was expecting, but those chords are wonderful regardless, very peaceful and kind of weirdly optimistic, despite it being purely major. I am on a beach watching the ocean, except the ocean is made out of nothing but pure neon. I am feeling the 80's, even though were not in the 80's. The chords are lovely, and that beat is very funky, woo. You even threw in some swing wow. I knew you are known for a lot of these cool beats, but this one is especially funky. Despite all of the crazy beats being thrown in, it's still manages to be soo peaceful and relaxing it's pretty awesome to be honest. That triplet section was just magical, it really makes the piece. This is just one hell of a well mixed piece, i love it. I delegated between you and Misael.K for the top spot, and in the end i felt Misael.K was just slightly more theme accurate, however both are incredible pieces regardless. Still though i picked you third, which is awesome stuff, incredible work!

THEGREATDESTROYER22 - Happy themes aren't really your strong suit huh? This is super textural, granular synthesis in full play here. That is very funky, were in high energy mode. It's like you've took the most danciest part of The Prodigy, with the most nosiest part of NIN. This could easily fit The Fat of The Land album, it's very groovy! The pause before the drop was insane, you've levelled up big time my man, that was awesome. The whole thing is nowhere near theme accurate, but i am biased towards happy music for happy themes, so i guess there's that, however the track is pretty insane, it's definately designed to make you uncomfortable. Some of the noises at the end, were very hard hitting, almost a bit overkill to be honest lol. It sounds like a drill, and i don't really like that, it gives me intense anxiety. It's one of those things where stylistic choice and genre can contribute to the enjoyment of a genre sometimes. The guitar work, especially towards the end is just soo good! It's hard, when there's amazing parts and parts that definately don't sit right with me at all. Yeah i relistened to this, and i was definately uncomfortable with this at all (And i listen to gabber haha). Sorry dude, it's a good job!

Koekepan - This is the 4 minute compo this week haha. So many 4 minute entries, i'm the only 6 minuter. I do love the delay effects, they are definately not in time, so the result sounds quite trippy. There is a definately an interesting volume shift going on. It's like were fading in and out, it definately adds to the psychedelic edge. I love how you are continuously adding sounds, it keeps it from being too minimal, and allows for a more melodic progression. The fade in and out approach does affect some of the quality of the sounds, however it doesn't affect the quality of the track as a whole. It definately has a more laidback pretty edge towards the edge, very mellow and calming, even though we started on a minor key. Definately a very loose track, but nonetheless a lot of fun, with some cool melody ideas. Awesome work!

Coloradoweeks - Ukulele type beat les goo! It's got a lovely folk sound, with a very interesting violin sound, i assume you played that. I was expected this kind of music in some way, because the theme was in a field. The singing is amazing as always, and the track is quite uplifting in a way. The violin melody is quite simple, and i do like that, it feels a bit of authentic. Lovely harmonisation, this was very catchy. The only minor critique i have, if you call it that, it's a fair bit on the quiet side, a overall master boost could make this work, but despite that i loved this, it was a wonderful tune, so wonderful i placed it 2nd, incredible work!

NickC - RPG strings! These are some NickC chords alright. I do like the ambiguity here, i can't tell if it's happy or sad, but it definately leans more minor key. The melody is not strong here, i feel it's overshadowed by the chords in terms of mix, but the melody in terms of composition is really great. Yeah the chords are pretty awesome, it's kind of slightly jazzy in parts. I do wish it was a bit longer, i feel the ending was kind of abrupt, and maybe there could be a little bit of finesse in the melody, to make it stand out more, but i did like this idea lot, it's got a lot of really cool chords, that honestly i don't think i could replicate if i tried. Definately a lot of fun, good job!

Misael.K - This feels similar to the opening 2 bard of Reverie from Debussy, it just immediately reminds me of that. The sus chords are a favourite thing for you to use, i do really like it. The overall sound just screams Minecraft, which is a bit of a cliched thing to say, but it just totally fits that world, which makes sense because of the images. I love the slow additions, the piano work is amazing, and the background melody whilst slightly detuned on purpose, in a sort of 432hz kind of thing, is also adding a lovely atmospheric element to the whole thing. This is very pretty, and also kind of emotionally uplifting too. Even though the piano is the star, there is so many soft additions that really carry the piece from being just a simple piano, i love it. The drums are also perfect too, it doesn't get in the way, yet they add so much depth and groove, that it would feel a bit lifeless without it. This is just wonderful stuff man, i love it. I took some time to delegate between you and DDRKirby for the top spot, and in the end i felt you just had more of a relevance to the theme in contrast, it just feels exactly the kind of music i would expect for a location like this, so you are my first choice pick. Incredible work!

Arcana - This sounds more like were in the Modular territory. Also been a while since you've made a long piece like this (Although 3:30 isn't that long lol). I do like the vocal work here, however it does become a bit too upfront, in contrast to the rest, but this could be a gain thing. In terms of overall levels it's pretty great. I do love how you alternate between effects, including reverb and delay. Some parts might be a little too detuned, but again i think it's the A=432 thing again. Some people are way too passionate about it, i don't know why. I feel like i'm expecting a beat, but yet all you're giving is hi-hats. The drums do eventually come, but it's a little too late for my liking lol. All in all this is pretty great, it has a lot of potential to become awesome. I do love the live performance, the lyrics are top notch, i definately feel this could go further. Still a lot of fun, good job!

Top 3 - Misael.K, Coloradoweeks, DDRKirby(ISQ).

I took some time to decide between Misael.K and DDRKirby(ISQ) for the top spot, and in the end i felt Misael.K had more of a relation to the theme, so he ended up being on the top spot.
