TheVideoGamer - Yes this is a Christmas song as evident in the title. Surprisingly people really got into the spirit, which is kind of heart-warming to see. I mean it doesn't bother me, i just do this because i want to introduce new Christmas tunes to my repertoire, especially since i hear the same tunes over and over. To have something different is a nice bonus. I've kind of described the track in detail in the description, but i'll give it a once over. This track started as an old project, merely a few bars here and there, and i decided to give it a once over and make it both more wintery, and Christmassy. This is a jungle type beat, but mixed with a more lighter fun approach to keep the spirit of the holidays, and it allows for a colder sound, which is perfect for this theme. The track is built on a 7th chord progression, that is amplified by Tubular Bells, sleigh bells, and pad chords. Later on a choir joins in for fun, before we move to the main melody. Throughout we get different melodies, on different lead synths, an assortment of bells and other oddities, and towards the end, some fun little vocals wishing you a Merry Christmas, including my own AI generated one. All in all, this one is a lot of fun, and was something different. Glad you liked it anyways!

Koekepan - Proof of concept indeed. 30 seconds is hard to critique music wise if i get nothing of substance, however the sound design here is rad, i'll give you that. Good job!

DarkShadow - Your waveforms seem to get louder and louder every week lol. Maybe my ears aren't as good as they used to be lol. The triplet ideas in this is very neat, i'll give you that, and the chords are pretty tonal in the first half, but this is all switched in a 180 to some super hard dubstep-ish stuff. Not gonna lie, this is nearly 2 minutes of stuff, and it can be a bit much for me, but i appreciate this a lot though, it definately was a ton of fun! Good job!

BJKMenu - This doesn't sound like practice, it sounds like someone professional shredding. This is actually really dope! It's a shame it's barely a minute, the track feels completely undeveloped, by the end i'm totally into it, and it stops. The track is lovely, but it just feels so short, because i feel the meat of the track is around 0:40 in. Still though, this was great stuff, so don't be discouraged! Good job!

DDRKirby(ISQ) - Nice simulation of wind there, really adds to the theme. Got that lovely blend of oldschool chiptune and modern lo-fi music. The piano tones are lovely, it's hyper realistic but also treated more like a synth. It's like a blend of both worlds. Mixing is really tight. I mean i don't know what else to say, everything about this track is super nicely mixed! I just love this, so good i picked it 2nd! Amazing work!

Starla - Ooh that first chord! Woow this is mighty pretty. So sad this is only 1 minute, i could listen to this for 5 minutes. This is amazing, soo many cool seasonings on those chords! Damn, i'm not worthy in this compo! Absolutely amazing, definately enough for the top spot! Incredible work!

NickC - That is one juicy bassline. Drums are also pretty dope, very EBM-electro sounding. Unlike the others, which have a bit of a chill vibe, yours is very cold. So cold i've turned into ice. It's not a calming piece at all, it makes me feel unsettled. I mean Horror like Christmas tunes is not the norm lol. On a serious note though, i do dig this a lot though! That piano melody is super fire! It's got a lovely cinematic overtone to the whole thing! This is actually pretty lovely, well done!

Coloradoweeks - Sleigh bells! What's with you guys and these Jazzy chords hot damn! The drum work is very funky! Swung beats with that nice attitude. This is your attempt at rapping? It's hard to tell, because some parts feel sung, even though it's not. There seems to also be some harmonisation going on, that i was not expecting for rap, but i kind of dig it. Definately a lot to like here, well done!

Lunarice - Lo-Fi piano is the best piano! Lots of cool chords here! You guys just know your seasonings, i still have a lot to learn! This is a lovely drum sound, half-way between live and electronic. So many cool chime effects here, it's pretty great! Loving the atmospheric effects, so good i picked it for the third spot! Amazing work

Dex - Country guitar! Not expecting this direction for this theme, but i am all for it! Loving that violin, it's got that oldschool western feel. Loving those drums and melodies, this is pretty laid back. So many cool changes, i love how cold it sounds in parts, despite it being all live. This is just lovely stuff, awesome work!

Misael.K - Retro synths galore, loving those stop and start kind of melodies. Leaves for some lovely breathing space. These synths are quite unique, has a really cold sound, but not like anything i've heard before. Those chords are sick, and the effects are also amazing. Delay effects automatically make it wintery lol. The piano bassline in the 2nd half was quite startling, maybe a tad bit loud, but i know this is all intentional, you want that muffled effect. This was just sick! Awesome work!

Arcana - More sleigh bells! I am loving those chords! It's a cool 7th, 9th combo! The vocal lines in this one are super dope! Loving the drum work too, it's kind of festive. Makes me feel less alone in the Christmas song department lol. I am super proud of you for submitting, despite all the hell you're going through. I mean a sick cat, a failing computer system, DAW problems lol, man you are really amazing for pulling it off. The detune on the vocals was a bit heavy this week, but i won't hold it against you, this was super dope! I always find a joy in listening to your pieces, even with potential. Keep at it! Good job!
