@Misael.K+Ethansight - Already got people impressed about my track, i must be doing something right ;)

@CotMM - If your gonna do an Aphex Twin type beat, expect the Aphex Twin type gif's to roll in lol.

@Misael.K - Pretty much lol

@Ethansight - Oh Igorrr....now that's a bit of a weird one, because this is not really metal/classical music inspired and more a combination of various ideas, such as weird textural pads and creepy atmospheric key sounds as well as the 2nd half containing all of the choir type stuff and pianos. I guess genre lines do be blurry.

@Misael.K - It all boils down to one trick. Just use a glitch VST. I could have spent my whole OHC manually chopping up a break and processing every individual hit, which is what they more or less did back in the day (I believe in a sampler, but i could be wrong). However as you know with Aphex Twin he was known to stretch the truth a bit, so for all we know he could have used a program just like us. If i chopped it manually, at best you would be hearing maybe 1 minute and 30 seconds worth of music (Including the melody parts), and it would likely suck (Because of time). In this case i just looped a breakbeat, and stuck the VST on, with the randomize function already selected. That way, it does it for me, freeing up time to work on melodies and other stuff. There is also a Gross Beat automation set to a 16th note gate, which is responsible for some of the weird parts in the beginning and the crazy ending. Using a VST might be cheating, but the last thing i care about is accuracy, when i need to get something down in such a short time crunch. Remember, when in doubt, just stick a VST in it.

@CotMM - 20 minutes? Dude that's way too short. Gotta be 40 minutes or more lol

@Treyt - I was gonna say VST's, but...loops work too.

@CotMM - Not gonna lie, i was lowkey expecting the classic 250bpm breakcore meme to show up lol.

@Coloradoweeks - Believe it or not, the 2nd half with the piano and vocals was made first, before the first half. I just pushed it to one side, so i could effectively make a slow but satisfying transition.

@CotMM - Damn why didn't i think of that. I coulda used that to make 12 minutes of music instead of 6 lol.

@Arcana - Your not wrong lol. The whole piece is more or less glitched until minute 3, when it's only just the drums.

@Coloradoweeks - Thanks. I definately wanted this to sound wholesome and warm.

@Misael.K - I mean that's kind of what Aphex does. Even within all of the manic drum programming, there is a soft almost isolating melody and chord progression that pervades throughout the whole piece, or at least 70 percent of it. In my case i feel listening back the vocals could have been a tad bit louder/stronger (In comparison to the pads), only because i feel that's a big selling point to this piece. But i'm not fussed, as that's my nitpick mode being activated. I do like how the strong melody ideas are working in cooperation with the beats, instead of being pushed aside.

@Ethansight - Thanks. That was my main goal with this. To have a very inviting and warm melodic shine to the whole thing.

@Misael.K - Lol what is that gif....

@Arcana - Don't listen to the ending of Mt Saint Michel then lol. That's even worse....

@Ethansight - Thanks. hope you enjoyed the ride dude!

@CotMM - Or what you would might say...."the light at the end of the tunnel"

@Everyone - Thanks for the kind words!

Now then...

TheVideoGamer - There is a lot to talk about with this track, because there is so many different sections and melodies in this, none of it is the same. The best way to describe it is in 3 parts. The first being mostly textured pads giving a more dissonant drone feel, followed by manic breakbeats done in a Drill n Bass style. The second section is more creepy and atmospheric, sounding like a semi horror film. In this we have a few pad layers, strings and a bassline. The final section we breakdown into a piano that is playing uplifting wholesome chords, followed by synth arps, strings and then eventually a female voice, singing without lyrics. It's designed to be very atmospheric, almost like your on a mountain. I ripped the vocals from YouTube, and spent almost forever pitch shifting them to match. It's not easy you know. The ending goes a little crazy with a rapid fire gate cutting out the signal super harshly. All these sections are supported by many drum layers alternating between glitchy sections and normal sections. This includes breaks, drum machines, and even percussion. I didn't do anything fancy, i just stuck a glitch VST on, and automated it. I don't have the patience in a 1hr and 30 minute compo to chop each drumloop manually. All in all, it's quite the journey, that i am actually pretty proud out. I thought i wasn't gonna get this far in regards to the amount of music, but i did. Glad you liked it!

DarkShadow - Yep, that is a DarkShadow bassline alright. Lots of FM in this, it's Dubstep without the wubs lol. That lead melody line is soo weird lol. There is more bassline than melody in this, almost like a bassline modular synth. There is also lasers thrown in for good measure. I respect this for what it's trying to do, but alas it's not my cup of tea, sorry. Good job!

Lyra_183 - Join the club, i detest spiders too! These creatures do nothing for me, and i don't think they do for you. I assume seeing that has inspired you to make this track. The ending was funny lol. I'll give you one point for your bravery (Because i wouldn't even be in the same room as one), the ending was a little unprepared because of the spider making you distracted. I still enjoyed this though, ton of fun, good job!

cotmm68030 - Ooh it's been a while since i've heard you sing! This is a rare treat. Already digging the soft yet deep kick drums, and the reverse synth sounds. It reminds me of being underwater. The amen break was....completely unexpected to be honest, but then again i think you was also trying to go for Aphex Twin lol. At first i was completely taken out, but then you got the rest of the sounds to catch up. Your vocals are cool in regards to the FX and the processing, but they so high in frequencies, everything drowns it out causing me to hear a faint buzzing noise. Blending would have improved it in my eyes. The piano was a lovely spooky touch. The whole track is pretty awesome i have to admit. Small details could really bring this to awesome territories, even though this is getting an awesome vote anyways. As far as a vocal attempt goes, this is a really solid track. Awesome work!

Souperion - So your impersonating Wassup Thunder then? Your description is difficult to make sense lol. Er...Hang on is Wassup Thunder your twin? This is like a soap opera moment wut...In all seriousness though as a Eurobeat submission this is banging. Lots of lovely melodies and drum grooves, and you provide me with a lot of nice fills. Some parts are a little uneven to be more nitpicky, but really that's only if i were to care. There's more to like than dislike. Well done!

THEGREATDESTROYER22 - First time i'm hearing you sing. I'll go easy on you lol. Lots of harsh guitar like textures here. It almost sounds like full on noise. The singing is really good, but it's very buried in the mix. Maybe i don't understand the whole "EBM" "NIN" vocal scene, but without the lyrics, i'm sorry i would be hearing gibberish. That is too blunt, i know, i apologise. The track is super cool though, i dig the drums in this, it sounds very phat, and the textures are very neat. Honestly for your first full on vocal entry it's pretty lovely. I can't even sing, so i probably don't even have the audacity to properly critique this. The breakdown was very cool, it sounds both warm and unsettling. Also took away a lot of the repetition that this track could have potentially contained. Honestly i've been thinking, and whilst there is work to be done, i do think i should give you this, because you did lyrics which i could never do, and the last part really saves this and turns it into some really dope! Well done!

Ethansight - That is a thick bass. Like extremely thicccccc. I love that chord progression, this is one funky bad boi. The lead solo is infectious, damn. The bassline is a little too loud at the beginning, but towards the end it becomes a little more smoothed out. Maybe a little too compressed, but that synth lead is hypnotic as hell. The way you weave the pads in was also cool. Yes there is potential in this, and it could be refined, but damn that solo is awesome, the good outweighs the bad, awesome work!

Nukage - Already starting strong with a lovely synth pad and chords. Not much buildup in this, the drop is immediate. That guitar is one dirty beast, it's sooo thick. Unlike your other metal tracks, this is very crunchy, you might have mastered it a little too loud. The vocals at the end, were extremely distorted, and in the most nicest way possible, it was borderline painful to listen to. Your metal is awesome, but in this case, you might have went a little too hard in the gain. Sorry dude, but good job though!

DDRKirby(ISQ) - Woo that is a lovely FM bass. It's a mix of 80's music and retro Sega Genesis music. Lots of varied FL Studio stock vocals, done in a very lovely way. You actually made it less awkward than it normally is. That pan flute embellishment just hits the spot. Lots of cool chords and changes, it's actually one hell of a funky track. Yeah the vocals are a bit...amusing, but the track is not. It's actually pretty amazing! Love this, awesome work!

Misael.K - Heavy synth chords, seems to be a common thing this week. Very pretty 7th chords. Very chill and relaxing. The drums are almost tribal sounding, that's different from you. Loving the slow attack on them pads, it's pretty soft and chill. The drop was hella satisfying. Less focus on the chords, in favour for synth arps. This is mostly a 2 chord vamp, but every now and again we get a few other chords thrown in. I don't hate 2 chords if done right! Whole this was peaceful and gorgeous, i loved this. So gorgeous it was my number one pick! Incredible work!

Barley - You left your metronome on dude lol. Great guitar vibes in this, and the vocals are very glam. Love how you switch between growls and powerful scream vox. The mix is great, although the drums can be a little quiet. The metronome is a little distracting i'm sorry. The idea is lovely, but maybe more refinement. Good job!

BrandonS - Oof not a minute to savour the intro, already into the drums and bass. Very lo-fi sounding, almost like hip-hop meets modern trap vocals? It sounds like a modern hip-hop song somehow. The vocals are extremely autotuned, like T-Pain style. This could be a T-Pain type beat to be honest. And a T-Pain type beat done exceptionally well. I mean if we forget the weird genre lines being blurred, this is a wonderful track. Great tight beats, lovely chords and warbly chords, and sick singing! The track is super nicely produced, i loved it, so good that i put it on the third spot! Amazing work!

Dex - RAWKKK. That is one hell of a punk guitar riff. Even got the melodies down. A mixture of squares and lead guitars. The square parts are playing in the left ear, and the lead guitar in the right? Is that right, because i feel that. The 2nd section is dope as hell though, lots of catchy lead guitar parts and piano licks. Honestly even with the unique mixing choices, the track is lovely! It's punk rock done very well. Loved it a lot, Awesome work!

NickC - Deep pad and key combo. Maybe even synth strings. Not sure what chords are being played here, it's quite unique. Completely fits your style as you do. Always making these normal progressions with these spices thrown in, that shouldn't work, yet weirdly they do. The ending really solidifies how cool this sounds. It's more than just plucks, it's a full on kids horror experience. Nothing to dislike here, it's not consonant as such, but it's definately not that out there either. Awesome work!

Coloradoweeks - That guitar is very lo-fi and dirty, i really like it with this track. Garage Rock almost. Incredible singing as usual, i mean why do i even say this, i know how good your singing will be before i even listen to it! The harmonies at the end, was awesome. Great stereo and chord changes. Honestly the guitar is phat in the mix, but i love the sound, it makes it better. The whole thing is just lovely, absolutely nothing wrong to say, awesome work!

Arcana - Another one who sadly left the metronome on lol. The vocals are interesting, they dart back and forth between dry and wet, maybe it's me. The vocals are quite upfront, in comparison to the rest, but when the drums fully develop, we all have perfect harmony. I feel there is a lot of potential in this, especially with the slight vibrato at the end, that feels a little out of tune. Honestly it's not bad at all, it just needs a bit of polish. Good job!

JH Sounds - Upvoted because of Beatles! Let it Be was the album that never reached it's potential. This is a lovely cover, with a great piano line, and a lovely harmonisation that is distinct from the original. You really did make it your own. This is just lovely....so lovely and theme fitting, that i ended up picking you for the 2nd spot! Amazing work!
