As usual, I went with thematic consistency, and thesocialcontract's cool pool took me there faster than any other drug on the market.

Starla this was pretty epic.
LunacyEcho this was hilarious.
cotmm: This was a combination of groovy/beats and kind of fascinating. Nice vocals, they kind of were almost rap-like.

Many other songs were a lot of fun to listen to this week. Especially call outs to A2Z for vocals, NickC for just general interesting crunch, and TheVideoGamer for giving us a cool long loop-based song that evolves over many minutes and sounds cool.

@Arcana - I kind of want to make a joke, but let's be real, in an hour...repetition legitimises.

@Johnfn - I think i might end up competing with you for the battle of the Arp's lol.

@Misael.K - M83 would never make something this emotional lol.

@InvisibleObserver - True dat, all of you guys make some seriously awesome music!

@A2Z - Glad you liked it. Since you think it's sweet, can i interest you in a sugar lolly? Haha

@Johnfn - I think i might be taking over you lol. Everything you do, i do hehe...

@Arcana - Now now, let's not get too hasty on runtimes haha....

@Everyone - I don't know how people are counting, but the time signature in my track is supposed to be 10/8. Not sure about 5/8, but that is my time signature. Hope that clears any timing confusion.

@NickC - I think i might have 20 more coming along this road...

@johnfn - It's funny, because UPS is actually a parcel delivery service...

@Misael.K - I don't remember there being polyrhythms, but interpretation can happen. It's supposed to be 10/8, but i think people have counted in different ways.

@Johnfn - For the most part the beat is playing on all quarter notes giving the impression of 4 on the floor, but the melodic parts are playing in 10/8 meter, or 5/4 to some, which is probably why some people felt it was a polyrhythm even though it's not.

@InvisibleObserver - Your thoughts echo mine. Everyone here are extremely talented!

@Johnfn - This is the most accurate truth said this week. Copy and Paste is the best life hack in any song you make.

@InvisibleObserver - My trick would be...find the right sound, then mess about with melodies lol.

@Koekepan - Even better if you find a presets but modify it, so you can say to your peers, "I make my own sound design, and do my own synth patches". (Even though you didn't)

@Misael.K - It's funny, because sometimes i make 5 tracks in one, and that ends up being an EP on it's own.

@InvisibleObserver - At this point, i was only really focusing on time, but thanks for the suggestions anyways!

@Johnfn - Or maybe you were having too much fun lol.

@InvisibleObserver - Why thank you, I'll be sure to tell the chef your compliments haha. Next time i will make a 2 hour en...ok let's cut the stupidity....

@Everyone - Thanks for the kind words!

Ok then...

TheVideoGamer - The theme had a little bit of ethnicity to it, so i tried to start with the pentatonic scale, only to then build around it. The image is very ethereal, with a lot of sparkle, so that's where the ambient parts came in. I also included a groove, all in a time signature of 10/8. Not 5/8, but 10/8 as we have 2 bars of 5 instead of 1. All the rest of the elements were stacked like a jigsaw to a complete layer. When done, i broke it apart and structured it into how i see fit. Glad you liked it!

cotmm68030 - The grooves are really cool here. Interesting idea here, good job!

Koekepan - Part jazzy, part chill. Loving the pad effects here, feels like great background music. Good job!

Elias561 - Chip techno? Sounds like it, as it's very intense. Good job!

DarkShadow - Dat waveform tho.....

A2Z - Dammit! Now i want a Fillet-O-Fish! Thanks a lot dude....

obScene - Loving the melodies here, great work on that. Very sparse, could do with more, and the beat is a little out of time, but other than that, i enjoyed it a lot, good job!

thesocialcontract - Ooh for your first attempt at Jazz, this is amazing. Really liking the way the melody flows. Obviously could do with more, seems like a great start, but other than that, well done!

DDRKirby(ISQ) - Of course not theme accurate as evident by the description, but extremely well mixed, with a great range of dynamics. Well done!

Wassup Thunder - If you don't mind me asking, are all of these Kontakt presets? If so they sound really good. Personally for me, it feels conflicted. I have a clear sense of Japanese side, but not so much the techno side. For this track to shine, i would better integrate the electronica into the orchestration, or failing that, just go full Japanese. Good job though!

Misael.K - Ok this is too good. The drums are beyond amazing, it feels like something i would do, except mine would be more repetitive, and would run for 10 minutes. I absolutely love the piano, it works super well, loving how ethnic it feels for this theme. Long story short, i can't stop listening to this, beautiful dude!

Arcana - Honestly it's not as bad as you make it out to be. Sure the harmony is a little basic, and repetitive, and sure it needs polish, but the sounds were great, the drums were great, i think you've really made a great track here. Good job!

NickC - The idea in itself is amazing, i love it. However the mix is a bit loud, and heavily compressed. The groove and the melody is perfect, just needs finesse. Good job!

Dex - Pretty. This definitely would work in a video game or anime. Maybe watch the way you integrate the winds, so it doesn't get loud, but other than that, the melodies were beautiful, the guitar is just soo nice. Awesome work!

starla - Ooooh wee, did this make me move. I love this vibe, and i especially love how you have integrated the vocals too, such a bop. If i gotta be real, i would maybe make the drum beats a little less repetitive, but i can nitpick sometimes. This is just too good, awesome work!

InvisibleObserver - Be careful dude, there is clipping at the end, and it's really noticeable. Loving the chords though, very moody and dark. Good job!

LunacyEcho - This could have been in my top 3, if it wasn't for the ear rape shark attacks that come in ;-;. Still though, the summer vibes are REAL, and they are too good (The Steel Pan is amazing). If a shark didn't appear every now and again, this could be in the top, but as of now, good job!

johnfn - If David Wise made a 80's styled synth remix. The vocals really brought the melody into a new dimension i really wish you used more of them. As a whole, i think you could tone down the beats a bit. Great sounding, but it really amplifies how sparse the arrangement is. Other than that though, liked this a lot, well done!

JH Sounds - Nothing bad here, moving my head from start to finish. You really do have a nice voice, good job!
