@Misael.K - Yes it's a song by the lake. Chilling and Illin' lol.

@Ethansight - Can't go wrong with breaking something lol.

@Misael.K - These are all samples, taken from a Pat Mentheny record, so i think it's the layering of the samples that causes the detune.

@JH Sounds - Ayyy you know the break!

@Arcana - See above. The only thing original, are the drums (Besides the breakbeats), the sub bass and the pad chords.

@Misael.K/Arcana - I've heard of sci, he's a little too on the chaotic side, with a darker trance side, but that might be me over analysing it...

@JH Sounds - There's only 3 breaks in the entire track, and one of them was actually taken from the Fresh Prince T.V show...

@Everyone - Yes it's a Second Submission. I didn't feel like i did enough with the first one, so i made another one. Gotta exploit your opportunities right?

@JH Sounds - Hey now, there's a reason for my 10 minutes. I'll explain it in a 30 minute YouTube video lol.

@Johnfn - Doesn't a lot of this kind of music remind everyone of you and Lunacy? Then again, i like cute music.

@Everyone - Thanks everyone for the kind words!

Now then...

TheVideoGamer - This track is a combination of old and new ideas. This theme is incredible, and this is where i fail soo badly. Sometimes the best themes become my worst. because too many ideas start coming in, as well as melodies. So i settled for a incomplete project and finished it. It's a cut up of a Pat Mentheny record layered with different chops, and of course breakbeats. Each section is a different variation of the first. I really like how the samples work together. Again it was good enough for this.

Second Submission - I felt like the first one could have been expanded more, maybe add more of the ambience and less than the beats. So i made another one for your pleasure. I already had an account made a 2hts prank i did for one of the rounds, so now i use this for second submissions. In this one i went for very cute music. What's distinct is that there is a variety of chords in this progression. In typical progressions it's 3 or 4 chords. For this though, it's like 10 or so for about 8 bars of material. Pretty proud of this, it feels like there is an arrangement to it. Anyways...

DrumJ8 - Ok you really do provide some sick grooves. Good job!

cotmm68030 - I really do like the melodic ideas in this one, a lot. However this wasn't your theme, which is a shame. The track is awesome sure, but the theme is way to relaxing for your unnerving piece. Good job!

Suzumebachi - Do you secretly pick out tracks, that you claim are cheat songs, but are actually seriously related to the theme (And awesome), if anything outright fit it? LIke seriously have you ever thought about that? Well done!

DarkShadow - A DarkShadow track with progression and structure? Me likey.....

Misael.K - Ok to be honest it takes a while to get into it, but when it does oh my god it's awesome. Yours is arguably the most accurate to the theme, especially with an image this bright and calming. The strings (Or pad, whatever it is...) when they come in, is just sooooooo gooood, just oof. Excellent dude!

Arcana - Be honest with me, and i don't mean this as an insult, but do you have sensitive hearing? All of your tracks these past few rounds are extremely quiet, i had to raise my volume up to hear them. The drums are quite powering too (Takes over the melodic elements). Again, it's what I'm saying, and i think your a cool dude, but I'm just wondering if this is the case. Good job!

DDRKirby(ISQ) - This track is actually the best mixed of the entire bunch, which is amazing, however the chord choices felt really basic. Expansion could be added to the harmony make it rich and exciting. Still though, you mix sooo well. Good job.

ethansight - The idea is amazing, i love it soo much. Sadly though the mix needs attention, the lead synth was powering. Also i feel you could fix the timing issues. Oh who cares the idea was too good. Well done!

NickC - I'm a big fan of your drum choices, they can sound huge and big. Really there's nothing to say, everything just works well, and is beautifully balanced. Well done!

Starla - I feel like this is a build-up to some EDM record. I need some Starla beats to go with the sick ideas.....good job!

Dex - Can't wait to see what you do with it next week, this was awesome!

obScene - Ok i really dug that piano sequence. If anything this is what turned it into one awesome experience. In fact i might even sample it, it's that good. Awesome work!

LunacyEcho - HOW THE HELL CAN YOU MAKE A REALLY NICELY BALANCED FUN POP RECORD IN A HOUR!? Like i wouldn't even know it was made in a hour, if i was just introduced to it. Beautiful work!

johnfn - This also included a 90 minute set up. I guess you had no inspiration lol. Still though, your surprisingly a great guitar player, and the melodies were nice. Even nicer with a studio take. Good job!

Top 3 - Misael.K, LunacyEcho, obScene

Awesome - Suzumebachi, DarkShadow, Misael.K, ethansight, NickC, Dex, obScene, LunacyEcho

Needs Work - DrumJ8, cotmm68030, Arcana, DDRKirby(ISQ), Starla, johnfn.

leaves and beats are falling
almost can't hear the bass on my earbuds. nice rhythms!

a slow decline
i've been inspired by several recent entries which reminded me of Coil and Dead Can Dance. Was planning on doing something like that here. started writing up some lyrics for it, and then walked away to take care of some family stuff. No final balancing or mixing, just render dump and run! Certainly could have turned out worse (:

insert cheese title here
very pretty. nice sounds.

near fall
loved the opening. Kinda wished it kept that feel the whole way through.

by the lake
i liked the ambient parts more than the frantic dnb. not so much that it wasn't done well, but just that i liked that aspect better.

walking in the park
cute. very 90s platformer. could be a .MOD on some shareware Amiga game.

in the calmness of the afternoon
reminds me of Animal Crossing music, just with more drums. peaceful.

four feet leaves apart too close get away thanks
love that FM bell sound. percussion feels a little too forward in the middle. nice.

fuchsia flare
nice harmonies. very triumphant sounding. glitchy stuff is great.

orange ln
i like the interplay of the phasing with the lofi sampling of the piano. very unexpected melody. the ending is so ominous, would have loved to hear it go somewhere.

chlorophyll more like boraphyll
reminds me of psx era breath of fire for some reason.

change
loved the harmonization in the chorusy section. wish there was more of it!

fall is a good time for orchestral metal
well let's be honest, it's always a good time for orchestral metal.

where red meets green
i liked the saturated distortion on the lead line. the notes and the drums were good too.

down by the riverside
has a distinctly 80s vibe to it. quite nostalgic. love the two part vocals.

the things you've hidden away
sounds pretty good for a single mic setup.

DrumJ8 - Cool minimal. Like the tweaky beat noises.
cotmm68030 - Instrument palette, and pacing work well for theme.
Suzumebachi - Cheat track or not, very dawn feeling. Very cinematic.
DarkShadow - I have a hard time seeing the theme here, but I do see positive progression in your OHCs.
TheVideoGamer - The drum mashing contrasted by soft melodic content are a lil' Aphexy. When playing with pitch bent drum samples, make sure you aggressively EQ off the low and high ends. Chain the retriggers to your samples for clarity. I really enjoyed a lot of this sub.
ThaTaskmasta - The melody is a bit too happy for me, but that's more a commentary on myself then the track. You covered the theme well. Gj'erb.
Misael.K - I still believe in you.
Arcana - Maybe I'm out of the loop recent era, but this sounds divergent from your norm. Flexitboiii
DDRKirby(ISQ) - You are a constant disappointment... I enjoyed the chordal counter melody stuff. Stutters were well integrated.
ethansight - Set phasers to stunning. Piano writing captured the theme very well. The slight tension in the writing did add that little edge of pastoral to fall-ish for me.
NickC - More like Chlorachyll.
Starla - Noice. Sounding like you've got your vocal processing dialled in. 👌 Hopefully you have it templated so you can plopper'in and speed run OHCs.
Dex - I can picture a video of a quilted Scotsman fluting away to this with 90's skater video editing. There's some goofy fun to be had about the high energy flute/metal mix.
obScene - The bridge section in the middle slap the theme hard for me. I like the distortion on the main synth. Not as big a fan of the grit on the drums in context to the theme/over all piece. A strong sub.
LunacyEcho - Very cool, haven't heard many group subs. This is very complete sounding. Tickles similarity to At Least it Was Here (Community theme).
JohnFM - This just sounds restricted by too many clothes to me. Unsheathe the Meat...th....
