DDRKirby-I like how this has your familiar 9bit aesthetic yet is quite different from a lot of your compositions, only two real parts that are overt give aways. Actually reminds me a lot of dustforce in some places. the gliding riff/arp thing at 2:48 is excellent

ethansight-very cinematic, crazy good for anyone nevermind that this is like your second OHC O_O

johnfn-love the progressive approach, it's amazing how fleshed out and varied your stuff can be for an hours work, even having a lot of little fluorishes most of us would skip over. reminds me a bit more of a rain forest than a snow covered wasteland but the music is great

honorable mentions

obscene- the intro is like perfect snowy mountain path late 90s-early 00s JRPG music. also violins

CJthemusicdude- feels more like raiding draculas castle than zombies but this is rad and totally reminiscent of old shooters

ducks-gorgeous synth bells, lovely pads, has awesome reverby percussion. love the minimalist take on the theme

jarski - crazy chips! love that bassline too, the rhythm in general in this song is strong

42- very pretty, good to see the odd soft orchestral piece that isn't going for the epic wall of sound thing

resonantwaves - short but I love the creepy ambience, perfectly captures the hellish aura of winter

azura- love the morse code synth and the filtered breaks. almost feels like it could be a frantic getaway theme until the more calm melody comes in

trancient- I'm assuming this is a cover from the do not vote message? one of my favorites from this round in any case, has some really nice melody

misael-beautiful piano, I love the delay on the chromatic percussion/bell thing. the melodic synth near the end is great, needed more of that

DarkShadow-even you don't know what time signatures your songs are in...

obScene - That fast tempo and all the short violins/percussion sold it.

johnfn - Amazing atmosphere, from the flute to the lead the instrumentation was perfect. Awesome job.

Forty-Two - Really just captured the theme perfectly, all that background percussion really does a lot ;)

There was no question about 1st place, but 2nd and 3rd where quite fought for.

I would have given 2nd also to
Tomapella (I don't know if there's an original song, but this one sounds fun!), Kirby (it's a given), Jarsky (simple? but effective!), Johnfn (starts nice, gets a little boring)

and 3rd to Azura, Obscene, Transcient (you don't get to tell me who I vote for!) and Somasis. No, wait. Erase the last one.
