Arcana's entry displays obvious craftsmanship, though it is a largely atonal piece. I really appreciate this, as atonal pieces are all too often used as excuses for poor craftsmanship. It also fits the theme well, is emotionally impactful, and enjoyable to listen to. I'd consider using it in a game I was designing, were I designing one.

TheMisterCat's piece is also emotionally impactful, haunting, and has excellent production value. That bandpassed clarinet has a wonderful old-movie quality, and the chopped background stuff is tight, and creative.

DioTrans gives us a pleasently different take on the theme. She has a good voice and I give her props for coming up with decent lyrics in such a short span of time.

I thought Arcana's was really cool how it starts off daydreaming, but there's a slight foreshadowing of a creepy sound coming up. Then, with a sour pitch-bend, the song takes a total turn.

I liked OCRE's but it was short!

TheMisterCat... woah.

Anyway, REALLY good entries this time! I am not going to write anything specific because I am lazy.

Oh No! actually made me feel like an RPG character's textbox just popped up, saying "Oh NO!" Reminds me a bit of Paper Mario :)

Forgotten Island felt more... full? than I would have expected, and it also brought to mind a forgotten island.

Crystal Maze made me think of a crystal maze.

I guess I liked the pieces that delivered what they offered ;)

-Round 45-

I feel like it's been ages. ;)

1st place - Relik: This is creativity right here.
Man this surprised me so much we it started at 0:05.
I did a barrel roll on the floor laughing. Crazy!
And the Sega Genesis sounds make it awesome.
Using the comic tone to depicts a fairly serious theme is very audacious.
But you did it right imo, and captured the image of a clumsy character getting lost. "Oh noes!"
WIN.

2nd place - Acana: You keep growing man.
Lots of atmosphere on that piece.
Gotta love that rhodes, and then the pitch-bend.
Falling into oblivion, getting lost and confused.
Are we gonna get out of here?
It was like watching a dream turning into a nightmare.
Great interpretation on this one Arc.

3rd place - J64: You know the deal.
Take a J64, place it in front of a piano.
Make it play something, and I'm sold. xD
No, seriously, it was a bit confusing at times and the sound was a bit clashy.
But still has this nice distinctive cinematic vibe to it.

--------------Misc Comments--------------

Diotrans: why do I have the feeling that you could do way better, both musically and in the singing department?
Maybe the theme wasn't too inspiring for you.

Shael Riley: liked the 8bit goodness, but it was a bit too hectic for my tastes. ;)

Halt: You still seem to have an issue with aligning your drums on the measure. Is it done on purpose?
Because if not, you should fix it asap. It really hinders your potential right now.

That's all. See ya around!
