1) Yoshiblade - The mood is somewhat altered...but then again all 3 participants went for a more re-interpretative approach. Production quality is pretty good imo, love the pitch bending with the guitars and that high energy drums. Actually, this is pretty close to the source, using a different genre, as the original was more like alternative rock whilst this one is heavy rock/metal. So yeah, I think Get T-Rektx'd is #1. Good name too =p

2) NashX - this is pretty darn re-interpretive, but the production is cool and the soundscape is nice and varied. I like the chorded area at the 1/4 part of your entry. The variety all around is pretty cool - prog gressive rock is cool :D

3) gercr - Whilst this is technically the most MnP - I felt this entry wasn't as strong as the other 2 guys' - feels kinda rushed and off-key at parts, I'm thinking that it might be the organ sample - it's pitch is off or something. Still your entry isn't all bad - I liked the intro and the 1/2 mark - it's cool and surreal.

hoboka: Really lo-fi samples, especially the brass, but otherwise the production was solid. I loved the choir intro and the quiet breakdown.

NashX: This is a great song, and might be a good candidate to polish and send to OCR, but it's not really an MnP remix. Very creative, lots of original content with the source theme playing in snippets or in the background.

Yoshiblade: Balance is all over the place, the melody is totally buried. But you obviously had a ton of fun with it, and that's catchy.

gercr: Funny that you said "less compressed" since this sounds heavily compressed to me. Strong intro, then the main melody totally falls apart--there's no soundscape to speak of at all, no accompaniment other than a weaksauce bass and a halfhearted, generic drum kit. Needs more parts--bass, mids, the works.

YoshiBlade - I like that guitar, and the stuff in the back. Only that kick is a bit too loud.
Gercr - There's much stuff in the beginning, maybe even too much. But I like the samples in it, the middle part is pretty nice and the song is variating.
NashX - The song has a nice balance between the guitar and the stuff in the back, it misses some variation in the instruments, but I like the different parts in the song itself.
Hoboka - At some parts the drums are too loud. I like the main lead. I like the string around 2:00.

NashX was on point, staying true to the MnP spirt so I gotta give top marks.

gercer, this felt like it was heading in a chill lounge atmosphere direction ( me likes), but it just never gets there. Good ideas, just run with them!

gercr's remix felt flat, although I like the use of the organ. NashX's mix had a cool guitar solo and a nice outro, but I felt that too much if it was spent in a more upbeat manner than the original would demand. It doesn't sound bad, but this compo is more about amplifying the source track. Despite his humble description, I felt Yoshiblade really nailed it and had my head nodding throughout. I also liked the human-like variety in the drumset.

NashX - Holy crap. That's some amazing guitar-work there dude. Production could use a little work to make the intruments 'pop' a bit more and the fade-out is a bit of a cop-out but otherwise this is amazing!

Yoshiblade - Blimey, two shredding guitar tracks in one round! This one was also amazing, but for me the guitar sounded a bit more muddied than NashX's track. Another fade-out as well, was that a round requirement and I missed the memo? ;)

gercr - The previous 2 tracks would be hard to follow in any circumstance, but you've done a good job in getting a nice eerie feel into the material. The organ(?) sounds a little mechanical but it does give a kind of dark-circus-y vibe to the whole thing, which is always a good thing. And another fade-out!

Hobo - You had me right up the point where the brass and drums kicked in, after that it all sounded a bit muddled. The keys parts were very good though!
