Game: Final Fantasy III
Song: The Boundless Ocean

So I was challenged to do The Boundless Ocean from FF3. Since I was working on an ocean themed album this summer it was actually an amazing coincidence. Overall I feel my mix is a bit short, but I was kind of happy with how it turned out considering I didn't have a lot of time to work on it.

I was fiddling on the keyboard and came up with this progression. I'm a big fan of oboe leads so I threw that in there too. Its minor and such, perhaps suiting of a sacrifice? I dunno.

Okay, so I've been going through a hard rock / metal phase ever since I got Guitar Rig 4 (I'm sure it'll pass soon >.>)

I got this idea in my head and though it sounded pretty epic so I tried it out. It sounded a bit better in my head, but being really new to the genre and mixing guitars in general I'd say it turned out decent. If anything this was a great exercise in mixing. I've always struggled with punchy drum beats so it was interesting to experiment with.

Anyways, hopefully someone out there enjoys this.
