Sggod89's main theme lead got a bit tired with the slight scoop in the higher registers, but was pretty solid otherwise. Would have liked a bit cleaner of a bass sound too.

OneUp: I personally hate that detuned bass sound when it's sticking out or carrying the entire theme alone and that really ruined most of the track for me. Everything else was pretty solid.

NintenJoe: Work on better balancing your soundfields. You have a lot of energy and it all competes with each other. If you could separate the disparate elements a bit, your work would sound a lot better.

Sggod89 - I like the "metal style" you used, it worked on the source. It's a little noisy, but not too much. Not much variation in it as well, but still interesting.
OneUp - Nice built-up in the beginning. I like the kick at 0:56. After that, it takes a while before the song becomes interesting. Around 1:46, nice part. The end is too long.
NintenJoe64 - Nice bonus mix in rock/metal style, with some good 'calm' parts. Extreme noisy in the middle/end in a nice way. Nice guitar.

I voted NintenJoe64s song third because it doesn't matter for the results.

Popped in here, saw an awesome source and decided to give it a listen, here. I'm quite impressed with sggod89's track - the guitar work is well balanced and the electronic accompaniment is very fitting. It easily takes first this time, for me.

OneUp's track takes a while to get going, but once it does it's pretty sweet. Unfortunately, it takes a while to get going, so it couldn't get the vote from me.

Obviously NintenJoe's track is a bonus track, so he gets no points. It's not too bad either, though, taking the source into classic Nintenjoe territory ;)
