Alex Smith - Weird beginning, but not bad. The next part is boring and long. I don't like the bass, it has a too big influence on the main lead, which is good. Nice variation at 1:45 and to the part after that, very good. I don't like the silences you used twice in your song. The ending fits in this song.
The Orchicalcon - Funny beginning, nice beat. I don't like the voice very much. The song starts slowly. I like the added string at 1:05. The song has variation, but the sections are long. The built-ups are from a high level, the ending is a bit boring.

I think I liked the melodic sections explored by Alex a bit more than the overall groove based Orihalcon track.

I liked both of them nearly the same, but I liked TO's just a bit more. The Doctor Who samples were icing on the cake.

Two very cool entries:

Alex had a cool take on the original. Noteably lo-fi, but pretty funkified. I definitely got into the bass groove you have going, though I really felt like the high freq's were missing a bit. Some sounds came through more clearly than others. I think if it was cleaned up a bit and balanced between parts, it could be improved a lot. Very cool drum programming also. Solid entry.

Lee also had a very cool take on the original. This definitely isn't what I would've envisioned from the original. I'm no expert, but it's got kind of a Euro/electronic feel to me. I think what really pushed this to first place is the production quality vs. alex's entry. Sounds are more clear and balanced out.
