ethansight: This really has a feel all of its own. It's upbeat and bright and groovy. When the beat comes in, we restate the melody but the mood is just so upbeat and satisfying.

obScene: Very emotive. A lot of rising tension. I like the minimalist piano and the noisy chiptune pads.

IO: I just love this kind of stuff. Arco strings, tension, synth backing, rhythmic bass.

Many good songs this week. Everyone did very well.

A very lyrical session - but there's a swing to ethansight's entry that I just couldn't ignore, that propelled it to the top.

Black Bird Bar - It makes me think of a bar scene from a retro video game, and I absolutely love the image it puts in my head

Bad Omen - I love the mix of both atmospheric and musical elements. It makes me think of a crow scavenging through the ruins of a destroyed bulding in the rain

The Crow: I love the sound design on this one, and the mix of Electronic and Orchestral is something I really enjoy. When I listen to it I picture a Crow mercenary in preparation for a big job

2 Special mentions: I really liked the Chill mood given off from "The Crows, and "Black bird base" had a very nice groove to it, it puts in my head the image a platoon of Crow soldiers dancing in sync

1) "Black Bird Bar" - I like classy yet uh, modern, so this was right up my alley. The intro makes me think black & white images, so I guess it's fitting enough to crows. :P And the music is great; I love the chord progression, the leads, the bass and the bells. All of it works wonderfully.

2) "black feather crow" - Singing solo without accompaniment must be hard, but I think you did fine. I thought the lyrics were pretty good, and because of the hints of loneliness, making the piece acapella was a great touch.

3) "Black Bird Base" - I really like this piece. Thematically, I can't say it does it for me, but musically, I dunno, this might be one of my favourites in this compo, actually. I like this sound; the repeating notes are catchy and the beat is nice. I even like how they fade in and out.
