Also starla, sci, MisaelK were in top running. Everyone did well, staying in the theme and composing appropriately dark, emotional, or interesting songs.

Honourable mention: shitbird did a great, musical entry, but I just didn't find it relevant to the topic. Pity.

Atmospherium would have had first place, but I found the sound design a bit grating.

Random-storykeeper hit very nearly the same sweet spot as Atmospherium, but with better sound design. First place - oh, and a better closing as well.

Starla's submission was beautifully on point. If it weren't that somehow the pounding drum seemed inappropriate, it might have scored higher.

Great round! There were lots of wonderful entries.

1) "In Company Of Angels" - Even though I'm not completely enjoying that lead (it gets a little *too* out of tune, especially near the beginning), pretty much everything else about this is fantastic. I love the pentatonic feel from the melody. Those rising notes give that "rising to the heavens" feeling, and this is probably my most favourite thing that's going on here. Great atmosphere and probably one of the more "uplifting" sounding entries.

2) "I'm 14 and This Is Deep" - The balancing starts a little off for me at the beginning, but the payoff is soooooo good once the vocals kick in. The parts in unison, the harmonies - these are really great. Sadly it does feel a little incomplete, but man, for those brief moments of singing is this ever great.

3) "Contemplation over Sorrow" - This reminds me a lot of "The Final Climb" and "Angels" from An Untitled Story (maybe a bit of "Eventually" as well). All the chords seem to have this really prominent pulse to them, which I like a lot. Use of the chorus sound is nice too. A little on the short side yes, but not bad for a first entry. Welcome to OHC! :)

Shitbird: too good. TOO GOOD. Mixing is on spot, everything sounds crisp and clear. Compositionally, this is very good too. Nice progressions, lovely melodies. Amazing!

Random-storykeeper: saddest person ever missing for their angel. Super touching, very well done.

obScene: very emotional and contemplative. Good job!
