GLL's song is just fantastic. Relevant, well constructed, decently presented. Solid first place.

NickC's sound design and ambience is a close second.

Random-storykeeper's Immerse is so well constructed that it edges out some very deserving competition for third place. Would that I had more votes.

RSK: I always like pure tones for colorful subject matter and there's a subtle bit of strangeness in this that works for the theme and doesn't overpower the beauty of it

Arcana: really dig the intro. the rest of it is great too but more typical of you, I liked the wrinkle where this actually seemed like it could be a full ambient piece

Shitbird: very good, drums stand out in this one. that abrupt ending though

There were a lot of really good entries this week. It was tough to vote!

1) "bioluminescence" - Of all the entries, this was pretty much the clear winner of this round for me. Great, mysterious dark atmosphere, and the percussion against those long notes at the beginning evoked this feeling of an oceanic descent, which feels near perfect for this theme. And while the piece is illustrative of the dive, it also manages to illustrate the interesting creatures encountered along the way. At least, that's what I picture.

2) "Deepwater Darkness" - I really like the slow introduction; the guitar pairs really nicely with the accompaniment. I also enjoy the arc - after it picks up from its somewhat somber pace, it slows back down in the last few seconds and that concludes the piece so well. I do get underwater ocean vibes overall, especially from the beginning and end.

3) "Florescent_Crab_Revolution" - Freedom for crustaceans! I think this entry is creative and amusing. Sure the vocals are shaky, but I feel like this adds more to the humour. I do love the quality of the vocals; you hold the higher notes pretty well. If the vocals were more in tune (though it got better towards the end) and didn't sound like they were being at a maxed out volume, this would have been in second place. That being said, I hope you do more vocal entries like these.

Other entries I wanted to vote for:

"Single Cell", "When the Corals Bleach out", "The Unbearable Loneliness Of The Sea", "keep them from me", "OHC 391 Together in the Stars".

Too many awesum entries!

obScene: I missed your entries, man. The gentleness, the emotion, the subtleties, this is beautiful.

Random-storykeeper: super cute! did I tell you I like delays? this feels super aquatic, you nailed the theme.

Shitbird: very aquatic first-half, very solid second-half. Dat incomplete ending, tho...

NickC: close fourth place! very good sounds, nice soundscape. Perhaps a bit too repetitive.

awesum: Hollow, Koekepan, NickC, obScene, Patashu, Random-storykeeper, Shitbird, starla.
good: Arcana, GLL, mcmiagblackmanisgod.
