Normally I don't vote for lyrics, but this time I was persuaded by a couple of factors.

Starla's singing was not only solid, and well recorded, but charmingly relevant and well backed. Full marks.

As a mountain dweller who likes biscuits, the banjo and roots charm won me over.

Lucinate's progressive layering over loops was a solid choice, and I endorse it as well.

it's the only one that really sounded professional while sticking (no pun intended) to the theme and it was just sounded so sweet (pun intended)

There were so many good entries this week...

1) "I shared my honey with the bees" - Wow. I ended up liking this a lot more than when I first listened to it. It's just really good wholesome simplicity. For some reason, I really felt this delicateness that was both calming and warm in sound.

2) "Keep it Sweet" - Really cute, probably the entry I listened to most. I love the chromatics in those broken chords. While the electric guitar worked well with the combination of the other instruments, it didn't quite conclude the piece well enough for me.

3) "Beesiness" - Yeah I know it's simple. But I think that kind of works in its favour. The melody near the end feels somewhat nostalgic for me. Mmm and it's very smooth overall.

The first place vote was nearly a tie between Koekepan and Misael.K. As much as I adored the lead in "Sweet Life", Koekpan's atmosphere overall really came through for me.

I also would've liked to vote for "Honey Baked Buscuits" for its cheesy but cute tune, "simple" for the slide in the vocals and "Moon bees" for being an adorable, also very calming entry.

A lot of awesome entries tonight! Voting was hard.

Shitbird: too tight. Too sexy. Too good. Excellent work!

LuIzA: this is very pretty! The guitar drives the track flawlessly, nicely done.

Random-storykeeper: descending bass intro is best intro and best bass. It gives the track a magical quality, while still keeping it on the ground, so to speak.

awesum: dusthillguy, Koekepan, Lucinate, LuIzA, Random-storykeeper, Shitbird, starla.
good: Arcana, astruve, gercr, NickC, Patashu, sci, Shael_Riley, Suzumebachi.
