Forty-Two's song was really nostalgic and gave me both Irish and Mitsuda vibes.

I also liked MisaelK and Patashu this week.

MisaelK's Far Away Mountains is both evocative and attractive, and perfectly aligned with the theme.

Forty-Two's Wandering Song is similarly thematic, although the choice of musical style left me in some doubt as to its applicability. Still, very well executed.

Acuity did a good job with Ridge Run, but I could not reconcile the harder edges of the music with the theme, and there as not the deep, piled snow that would speak to me of a ridge run.

Still, very strong entries over all.

NickC: excellent pads and sound design. Interesting choices here and there, and good flow.

Forty-Two: super nice! very medieval (which I wasn't expecting with this theme), superb work.

Koekepan: cool atmosphere. You do the "barren land" sound quite well.

awesum: Forty-Two, jarski, Koekepan, NickC, sci.
good: Acuity, Arcana, mcmiagblackmanisgod, Patashu.

1) "Far Away Mountains" is a very gradual build, but one that I enjoyed every single moment of. Great noise, lovely instrumentation. And the vocals in that last minute are heavenly. I mean it is a bit "wandery" - so to speak, but hey, that does arguably fit the theme.

2) "Exploring my New Home" captures the feeling of a vast, desolate landscape on point. The beeping noise, while appropriate, did become irritating to listen to after a few minutes.

3) "Wandering Song" is a pleasant contrast to the other two entries I voted for. I love the wandering melody; it feels kind of folk-like. The horns seemed to detract from the theme for me though. I like the undertones as well.

I also wanted to vote for "Solitude" and "Trails".
