starla: I liked the voice work of course. Strained and emotional, but yet controlled. It reminded me a lot of Tristesse de la Lune.

Misael K: The part with the piano was really good. I didn't like the earlier lead as much - it felt out of place in the first part of the song compared to the natural feeling of the other instruments (but later on was fine as a background compliment). Maybe try a violin or a guitar or just a normal organ and see how it sounds there? I'd be curious.

johnfn: Very nice piano and chipwork. Yes, I know that you've done the chip thing before. It reminded me of your recent Ludum Dare game's soundtrack, which was awesome in its own right.

Also:

Atmospherium: Great foray! Sing more.

blastron: Awesome. Sing more. Make the vocals louder in your tracks.

Nekofrog: Great initial work here, nice to hear solid entries from you every once in a while. Sorry about the mixing.

A-zu-ra: This was lovely, don't know what else I can say.

obScene: The length made it sound more like a song even if it was a little repetitive. People like more of good things.

MandraSigma: ambient DnBish stuff? Sign me up. I liked this a lot, I wish I had more music like this in my personal collection.

holy cow starla sang on the first song i've heard from her, and johnfn came out of nowhere and BAZAAM! and then A-zu-ra was all like "hey here's my thingy now bow before me" and I was all like "it was good but not THAT good but here's a vote, bro!"

I forgot to vote the last 2 weeks, and I have no idea why. Busy I guess. Here goes though:

Favorites:

sci this is amazing, one of the awesomest things i've heard during ohc.
starla because STARLA. vocals and melody are so pro ;.;
Atmospherium did this really awesome song with cool progressions and legit vocals. How do people do this in an hour?

I liked a LOT of the stuff I heard. Here's a vague ordering of the honorable mentions.

nekofrog wow that was some serious metal \m/ Only reason I didn't vote for it is because it's too short :(
CJ's thing was really epic! Dat production value omg!
blastron's thing was nicely done, some dark rock. neat chord progressions.
Misael.K those are some pro chords! :D
A-zu-ra's thing had some legit piano in it. very peaceful.
Zedd that was really nicely done.
CaptainFluffatun really surprised me because i thought i had him pidgeonholed as a guy who did mostly chill stuff! Dat inception feel!
MandraSigma wow this is really inventive. I really love the sweeping reversed notes and beat.

Great work everyone!!

    Nekofrog
johnfn - Both parts of this really caught my ear, but having both styles work together like this really made this track stand out. Easily my favorite track from this week.

MandraSigma - Great groove going on here and I really enjoyed the somewhat atonal approach to a lot of the backing elements.

Nekofrog - Great to hear more metal going on around these parts. Drum and guitar tones really worked well together and the piece really flowed (although the ending came a bit sooner than I wanted).

Arcana - the 5/4 seems pretty smooth, no abrupt rhythms. it's relatively free, since the patterns don't repeat until about 4 or 8 bars. the drums make it more clear.
sci - great use of time stretching, emphasizing the significance overall.
johnfn - amazing pianos. chord progression seems familiar, pretty catchy. great work.
starla - great voice, nice song.
