@Lyra - great voice, I really like your cover. The long pauses inbetween weren't too great, but I know you were following the original track :)

@cotmm - nice samples, nice soundscapes, a mix of creepy and ethereal. Great result :)

@JohnGabrielUK - that one's cute - makes me want to embark into an amazing adventure!

@TheVideoGamer - Interesting mix of sounds. I had no idea they could work together - but you succeeded. Well done!

@Theoteno - I like the vibes of your track, but the flanger hurts my ears :( I Wish I could enjoy it with less high-end resonance.

@Sansero - The borrowed chords are nice, but some of the melody notes feel a bit incorrect to me. I like your style, still, but I think it could use some more work maybe (unless you intended the melody to be dissonant, ofc). GJ!

@Jose - I like the storytelling haha, also, the double(?) tracked voice is a nice touch. The second way is bouncy, I like it a lot!

@Vaia - There is a square bass, but it's not the primary bassline. That part is done by a Double Bass.

There is a 4-1 kind of chord progression, but it's not a strong 4-1. It's primarily locked in the root of C, making it mostly 1-2 chords. It's kind of hard, since the tonal material is mostly sticking to a Pentatonic scale.

Speaking of which, why are you the only one who talks in chat? Where does John, CotMM and Sansero go lol. Do they hide or something? I know Lyra makes an appearance, but these guys seem to weirdly disappear when the party's on. It's different with me, because i'm usually eating at the time of upload, therefore i listen later. Only a rare moment would make me listen in the chat, otherwise i respond later. I don't know, i've seen it happen a few times.

Oh well thanks for the kind words everyone!

I'm really just talking to Vaia at this point lol. (Well ok i did recheck, and it seems it was only for my track, not for every one elses track)

Now then....

TheVideoGamer - I tried for a weaving kind of track, where each sound comes in and out, while a continuous Double Bass and Breakbeat powers through. The Double Bass is primarily the anchor, while the rest are just sound embellishments. I wanted to make it very light-hearted, like a kid and his dog exploring the woods. The image wasn't creepy to me, even though you could imagine that. There is a chord progression that occasionally comes in, but it's not frequent, and is mostly a texture shift. I like this one, the pentatonic scale works well in this. Glad you liked it.

Lyra_183 - Interesting, never heard of the Twenty One Pilots song, even though i know a lot about them. I primarily listen to Electronica, so i won't know a lot about rock, especially 2010+ rock. I did familiarise myself with this song to make sure i knew what i was dealing with. There is a lot of long drawn out pauses, which indicates you had the original on headphones and you were singing along. This is why a backing track makes the difference. You sing quite well though, very nicely done, even if i feel there's too much silence at times. Good job!

cotmm68030 - Interesting blend of sounds, i can kind of hear a triplet thing going on, even if it's not fully utilized. Lots of changes happening throughout, hard to stay on a familiar idea, which is a good thing in this case, it's quite unique. Lots of dynamic reverb usage, nice sudden explosive hits, it's very unpredictable, and beautiful for it. The chords are beautiful, very much PS1 era sounds. Can't say any more, awesome work!

JohnGabrielUK - Very nice upbeat orchestra music, great for a children's cartoon. Quite a short piece, but done very nicely. Well done!

Theoteno - Welcome new guy, i don't think i've seen you here before. Great selection of sounds, it's very space like, almost alien. Really liking the unique chord choices, and the flanging effects really make it a bit spooky in parts (Although overused quite a lot, get's a bit much for me). The flanging kind of ruined a lovely experience for me personally, this needs polish. Great sounds though, good job!

Vaiaphraim - Ooh nice piano vibes your giving me dude. Part orchestral, but also part...Pop song? It feels like it. Great melodies and time signature changes it's lovely. Well done!

Sansero - Lovely chords, liked how you voiced them as well. Very soft and relaxing, quite a simple track. Maybe too simple, but i'd argue it adds to the relaxing feel. Ending wasn't satisfying in my personal taste, i feel this is incomplete, but it was definately super nice, I'll give you that. (The melodies were great) Good job!

Jose - Sorry about your computer crash, you could have made a fire beat (Oh wait you did, it's just very short and at a random place in the song.)The vocals are cool though, great reverb. Long silence at the start. Maybe i'm not used to the idea of having a random fire groove pop out of nowhere, but the grooves were done perfectly, if short. Good job!
